SBRL Facilities




The Social and Behavioral Research Laboratory contains HCI and human factors research suites with ASL Eyetrack and observational video systems, a focus group room with both direct and video observation and recording facilities, a CMC research room with 2 computers and a video system, an immersive Virtual Reality and Motion Capture studio, and a large-group presentation space.

The SBRL promotes cross-disciplinary research efforts by providing a space for interaction among researchers of differing backgrounds and training. It is located in the Winslow Building, which is adjacent to the Rensselaer campus on the West side of 8th Street.  Learn more
